In my case I sure had looked at the papers once the breeder I got her from mailed them to me, but I was just think in my hand that she knew who the parents was and still not sure how she had them mixed up. I was unset and was even questing if the papers I had went with the dog. So I did have her DNA test and the paper was hers the dad was the dad. It was a very bad over sight, I have learned not to go my what people say to looking into it for myself. But you are right if the dog above has mated with 2 males there does need to be DNA testing. Sorry about the inbreeding/ line breeding I don't like it what ever it is called it is the same to me. |
Not sure if you haven't already, but if you take a few classes on dog breeding, that is taught by reproduction vets. They'll teach you how to line breed and the differences between line and inbreeding. Thus establishing, setting, and keeping type in your lines. Breeding yorkshire terriers is not breeding pheno-type to pheno-type as in some breeds. It's not just putting two dogs together, to do it correctly it takes studying and knowing the background, (backwards and forwards) of the two dogs you are planning to breed.
