Cyndi, I still cannot tell the difference between tan and gold. AKC says to register puppies the color of the mom but that is just for record purposes. You cannot look at the parents and tell the pups' adult color. I have a mom whose black changed to steel blue after 18 months. I think you just have to decide you will love the baby no matter what color it is.
If there are any breeders on the forum who can give more info, please do...
