Vets are rarely the best source for info about such matters. Ears up or down are not ailments which vets are accustomed to caring for. Ask a breeder of Yorkies in your area. Go on line and there are many articles...the ears may not stand up ever, but don't give up hope. Massage works very well and they do love it. Massage from the head to the tip with your thumb inside of the ear. Taping can and does work-but not always. Keep them shaved, learn to tape, massage..Remember, when they are stressed the ears will come down and they are about the age to be teething. Ears will come down when that happens some times..These babies are cute either way, but the breed standard is prick ears. Good Luck.. |
