At 8 weeks old weighing 1lb is not big at all. Also, if guesstimating on the weight, chances are this puppy isn't going to be that big at all. 8 weeks old is young. The breeder can start taping the ears to stand.

I do agree its not so much the money as it is the conditions and health of the baby.. good luck!
