I'd be lying if I said it was all fun and games. Eddie has been mostly aloof, and play has to be supervised. In fact, I let down my guard the day after shooting this video, and Eddie turned and attacked her when no toy was involved. I didn't think that was a possibility. Lots of people say to let the dogs work it out, but Eddie has a history of biting in situations like that and there's no room for error with a puppy.
Fortunately, the only damage seems to have been a new fear from Jillian. It broke my heart, but she bounced right back the next day and wanted to play again.
So we're back to leashed playtime with Eddie when Jillian's around and strict control over toys. No more of the catch-me-if-you-can games.
