Oh yes yorkies can get! Cheech was diagnosed early on. We had puppy doors but eventually had to block them because she would eat so many accorns outside that you could feel them on her tummy! Of course she had surgery....She would swallow tooth picks, q tips, hair ties, twigs, anything she could get down her throat! Needless to say we had many expensive surgeries, but we had to watch her very carefully....Eventually bought tall trash cans for the bathroom so she couldn't stick her head in.....But she didn't lick very much...So I don't know
