My best friend in high school was half Korean. She was so embarassed by it
I don't know why for sure, no one picked on her or anything. I know she was jealous of her sister because her sister was very small framed and looked hawaiian and my friend had a larger frame and was not built as feminine. I always had wished she wasn't so ashamed of her race. She was SO smart and she was very pretty, she just didn't look like her sister. She had a super sweet and supportive family yet she was so insecure all the time. I just loved her sweet Korean mom. She always called me "Mindie-girl".
Sorry I went off topic...just brought back that memory for me. I was always so jealous of her hair...what I would give to have hair like hers!!
