Now...the problem is that my boyfriend (who I live with) has a 9 year old Jack Russell who was not trained or socialized very well...or at all really. I have been working with her and she has gotten a lot better. She has learned to walk on a leash properly and knows sit stay and come very well. It is a lot better but still I wish she would play with the puppy because Dolly want noting more than to play with he and follows her everywhere.
So my question is: does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get our Jack to play with/be comfortable around the puppy? We have had her for two weeks and she is still so uncomfortable with her around. The minute I put the puppy in her crate, she is back to her old self!  |
Sometimes it takes time for them to accept another dog. It took my Rusty and Spicy months to accept Mandy. Only the cat would play with her. It wasn't until Mandy fell off the bed ( she wasn't hurt) that Spicy and Rusty accepted her. When she cried they both ran to 'fix' her.
