Thankfully, I think those of us who have little kids and Yorkies at home, teach the kids how to handle the dogs. Unfortunately this isn't so the majority of the time out in public. It shocks me still how careless people are with their kids letting them go pet or grab strange dogs. More so, how intrusive ADULTS are on me, my space, my dog, and my kids. I've mentioned it before that when an uninvited hand comes out to touch, pet, grab, or otherwise handle my kids or dog, MY hand instantly grabs the wrist of the offender and turns the hand right back to the body from which it came. I have absolutely no trouble doing this. Almost every day, some stranger will grab my hair and even pull on it. The same goes for my dog and every since I had my first baby, people will always go in for the pat or even a smooch! WTF? |
