So sorry to hear your little one did not survive, that must be heartbreaking.

I am also in IA and know it's hard to find the right breeder, actually the 4 yorkies I have came from other states and I would probably only recommend one of them to get a puppy from. There is one out there, though, just waiting for you to bring it home
