I have traveled lots with Sissy. We have done 5 hours at once several times. She does really well.

I make sure to have water with us, as well as disposable potty pads. To break up a long flight, I will take the carrier into the airplane bathroom, put the pee pad on the floor (which takes up all the floor space) and then let her walk around and potty if need be. It helps lots and occasionally she will actually go. Then you just throw away the pee pad!! We also use these on the floor of the bathroom in the airport as well.

I always have a blanket in the carrier in case the floor is cold. I have also taken some treats to make sure she doesn't get too hungry along the journey.

We have only traveled on Northwest. They do not require a health certificate for the dog, but some states require the health certificate.
