I gauge my answers as well. If it's someone my age, then I'll usually give a smart answer like that.
But if it's someone older then I usually just say half Korean.
I don't want to seem rude.
It really does get on my nerves, though, especially since I've been asked that for as long as I can remember!
How do you prefer people to ask you? Would you rather them just ask what race you are or do you have a different word? (I think people don't like to say anything that even comes close to the word "racist," which is why they're hesitant to ask me my race.)
ETA: By the way, are you full or half? Or a quarter ... etc.?
