So tomorrow I have to take Addie to the vet to get her spayed. I'm so nervous!
I know I don't want to breed her, so I feel like this is the best because I don't want to take any chances. I'm just afraid something is going to happen.
I've had a poodle before, and we had her spayed without incident. But I was five, so I didn't really get what it all meant.
I can't imagine life without my little pup! I know that spaying is a typical procedure done millions of times, but it still doesn't alleviate my worries.
Plus, I love how active and puppy-ish she is (even though she's a year and four months now), and I don't want spaying to change her behaviour at all.
Will it?
And I love her smooth little tummy. Okay, that one is just silly, but I can't help it!
I've got to stop giving her food and water at midnight and take her to the vet some time between 8 and 9.30 in the morning.
Did anyone else have such anxiety the day before the spaying/neutering?
What can I do to make her post op as comfortable as possible?
We normally go for a walk around the neighborhood at night. Should we not do that for a while?
I plan on going to PetSmart and a specialty pet store after I drop her off and buy tons of toys and treats to say I'm sorry!
