My Aunt had a border collie a few years back. Her name was Rugby and she was the sweetest dog. She could catch frisbees and lived a long time. She had to have her put down due to something with the brain (I forget exactly what now) and she had siezures then a stroke and couldn't walk anymore. They are sweet dogs, not sure how they mix with other dogs but someone else will probably know.
