A few months back, I had a litter of puppies advertised in our local paper and I actually got a call from someone who wanted me to donate one of my pups for a raffle to raise money for a charitable org. She seemed surprised when I told her I thought raffling off a live animal was a terrible idea. I tried to explain to her how I needed to meet whomever took one of my pups and get to know them before I placed my puppies with them.
Hopefully this little one ended up in a great home, but I'm with you, that is such a bad idea.
