Different dogs do well on different foods.
Some foods are just too rich for some dogs.
And then there is the consideration of what ingredients work well for what dogs, etc.

I would say 50mg twice a day sounds like a better dose.
However, it looks like 1800petmeds is saying the usually dose is 3-23mg per pound 1-4 times a day. If the maximum dose was given, it would be well over 250mg, just not all in one dose.
