She's only had her 1st shot, and the people we bought her from told us that we couldnt put a flea and tick collar on her because it counteracts with the shot. They told us we had to wait until she's had all 3 shots until we could put one on. I'm not sure exactly how to go about this problem now. Does anyone know what's safe to put on a puppy this young or if what they told me is even true? I need to do something for her and there are way too many ticks to pick off just with tweezers. Welcome to YT. My MIL lives in Portales. My suggestion would be to get her into your vet office and have them handle the fleas/tick with a prescription. I believe that revolution is one of the only ones that you can use that young. You should have her fully check out also with her being infested and so so young. She really shouldn't have left her mommy and litter mates yet. You will need to bomb your home also to get rid of the fleas that she has brought into your home. Go threw the site and read everything you can about young pups. It will help you deal with anything that may arise. There is a great deal of information and very caring breeders on this site that will be more than happy to offer any help/advice you may need.
