I think spaying her will be beneficial to both of you! Spaying does not change the personality, but maturing will. I have a 13 y/o spayed poodle that still acts like a puppy. I also have a 2 y/o poodle that is spayed that still humps her bo bo toy. But, it sounds like your girl is humping because she is in heat.
