PLEASE DO NOT PROVIDE ANY INFO!!! That is a very well crafted, tug-on-the-heart-strings type of SCAM e-mail. OMG!!! What will people think of next...
This is not to say that you would provide your info, I just want anyone to be weary of any entity, ESPCIALLY your bank, asking for personal information. One should NEVER give your personal information over e-mail or over the phone.
There was this phone scam where they were calling people as the Credit Card Co. and asking for the digits on the back of your card to ensure there has been no theft to your account and to ensure you are in possesion of the card. That was just a scam to get those three digits so purchases could be made. How terrible is that?!?!?!

Thanks for sharing the e-mail scam you got. Hopefully everyone will be cautious!!!
