I have found in my life that people are of two different breeds.
The first, respects the life of any species on this planet. The are interested in learning about, and experiencing life .
The second, well, has little respect for themselves or for that matter
anything on this planet. They only use up things, and then throw them away.
I distance myself from these types, they have very bad karma.
Sounds like your coworker has fallen into the second category.
You do not borrow something from someone, then make fun of them.
