For those of you not familiar with our situation, our mama dog could not stimulate her two puppies to poop, b/c she would lick their tails and make them bleed.


So, we had to do the stimulating until their tails healed. No matter what we used: wash cloth, cotton ball, cloth, etc., they wouldn't poop.

Under the advice of our vet, we would give them warm water enemas once/day, and that has worked fine.


Their tails are almost completely healed now, and we let mama lick them, under supervision - that sounds funny! But they still won't poop. Believe me, I am watching with my head in the box looking for any sign of poop! LOL

So, my question is: for those of you who have had to do the stimulating, how much comes out each time?

I think it's weird that they only go once/day when we do the enema thing, but I am wondering if the amount they are going is a full day's worth.
