I would like to say.. if there is stress or tenion with your parents over your yorkie, this will pass on the a puppy very quickly.. so I feel until your parents and yourself come to some sort of agreement.. he is not going to be the dog he should be.. and this could be so confusing for him..I hope I am wrong.. but these little one's know when we are stressed.
Maybe you need to talk to your parents..express how much the puppy means to you.. how hard you will try to make sure he is happy and content.. you need to tell them and explain to them about stressers with the dogs through humans..

Hope this helps you..How did you get a puppy at your age still living at home.. if your parents did not want a dog.. just curious..
There are many here who will help you and give you advice.. the more you learn the better it could be for you.. then you can teach your parents..

good luck.. anne
I totally understand and I feel dumb for not thinking of that. He is very smart. My parents are very weird as they didn't want a dog to begin with and all I wanted was a chance to prove to them that I could take care of one and keep him.

About three months ago, being a newcomer to the dog world and not knowing to how get my little Louis, I went on puppyfind.com. (yes I know that it is bad but the breeder was marvelous.

I brought in my sister and showed her and told her that I could handle it and I took the plunge. ( I have a job by the way)

Brought him home and my parents were furious. Days passed, my mom started liking him. More days passed and so did my dad. Weeks passed and they loved him. Now my little Louis has been acting up, as mentioned above, and as hard as we try to potty train him, he still has accidents, and its not good to have a germfreak as a mother.

And I know deep down my parents love him, I mean who doesn't like Yorkies? Louis is so adorable and I love him, and I wouldn't trade him for anything.
