Only pull GENTLY with her contractions. The placenta is a little round lump that is attached to the end of the cord and it usually will come out with the next contraction if it doesn't come with the pup. You need to tie the cords at least an inch to an inch an a hlf from the puppy. I/2 inch is too short.
