As hard as it is to understand such actions, they happen much to often.
Just yesterday I watched Oprah and she had a woman on who left
her two year old daughter in the car while going to work. Her husband
always took the little one to child care but had a dental appt that
morning, the pattern changed and the mother was suppose to drop
the child off. Stopping for pastry, end of school year, she was a
principal and highly educated, loved her children dearly yet because
she did the same thing day in and day out she actually forgot about
the two yr old sleeping in the back in her car seat.
Eight hrs later another teacher saw the child, dead, while going to
her car. Each story is so different but all have the same devestating
ending. We are all rushing too much, no excuse at all but it's a fact
of life. |
