LOL! Sounds like it's working too!
Sophie does something similar. When she needs to go outside on a potty break she'll come and bark at me. However, if she REALLY has to go she will come and bark and softly latch onto your toes and guide you to the door. Or rather make sure if you're walking anywhere, it's to the door to let her out. It's also accompanied by a little urgent growl.
