I don't know the age of Chloe, but could it be that she is coming in heat? My oldest female, Ginger, got VERY affectionate when she had her first and second cycle. Always wanting me to hold her and snuggle with her. It seemed like she was asking me "what's going on here?!?!". When she's not in heat, it's hubby that gets all the attention. She may just be over tired or stressed out about something and feels you are there to comfort her.
