Either way, when Uni was a baby, her fur tangled more. Now that it's longer, it doesn't mat as much and I comb her every other day, I think.
If your baby is less than one year, just keep brushing everyday, even if their fur is not tangled. Get then used to it. It's part of yorkie life, and part of yorkie parent life! |
I am a retired hairdresser and the myth of not combing wet human hair is just that. Yes years ago with the brushes they had brushing wet hair was a no no but now we have wonderful pin brushes for our wet hair also

. I treat my yorkies just like myself. A pin brush when wet and a natural boar bristle (human hair one) when dry. I never get any hair in the brush when dry. These brushes are pricey but a great investment for furbabies and yourself. The shine they give the hair is amazing.
