This is interesting. I know if Uni has a huge mat, I spray her with her detangling spray(wet). but when I comb her normally(dry), without huge mats, I still get hairs that come out either way. I have always heard that on human hair never to brush/comb wet, b/c hair is more fragile and suspectable to breakage then, so why not yorkie hair?

Either way, when Uni was a baby, her fur tangled more. Now that it's longer, it doesn't mat as much and I comb her every other day, I think.

If your baby is less than one year, just keep brushing everyday, even if their fur is not tangled. Get then used to it. It's part of yorkie life, and part of yorkie parent life!
