I don't do the heavy cleaning in the house anymore due to heart issues so I have housekeepers who come in on Thursday to do the vacuuming and such. Thursday? Beginning to see a pattern here? I'd also forgotten they are on vacation this week which makes the rest of the day even a sadder state of affairs.
I'm working on a project, Frank's left for Nashville, and Taffy's'.....WHAT? Yep, Taffy has managed to find the one paper napkin that wasn't thrown away and has managed to shread it into a mathematically improbable number of pieces. Plus, the entire living room is strewn with toys making it look like a pet store has exploded within our walls and remember we are expecting a guest...dear little Yodi.
About then I read a PM telling me that Yodi is at my house! What a gracious Southern hostess I turn out to be... I have to read from a poster in ENGLAND that I have a guest here at the house! Why that alone would keep me from ever winning a Southern charm award!
Sure enough, Vicky was right! Poor, poor Yodi all hot and exasperated at being ignored was quite eager to be released from the box until she met my sweet little baby girl turned demon. Their first encounter is a story unto itself.
As luck would have it about that time the phone rang...husband calling to tell me he is in a traffic jam. (It ended up taking him 5 hours to get to Union Station and he missed the concert but at that time we were hoping he would be able to make it in time.)
