I wasn't going to post anything, but I keep thinking about this and am alarmed by the statement your vet made. There is no justiication to back this claim about raw being the cause of pancreatitis. In fact, many times pancreatitis is present because of an underlying health issue that was never identified. This sounds like a scare tactic to me.
I also find it very interesting that vets who have taken the time to really become educated on nutrition are not opposed to raw diets and most of them recommend home cooking above and beyond any commercial canned or kibble dog food.
