I went with a good two weeks until I started to remove the first pad and then a week after that and so on until we were left with one pad at the end of the xpen. Sometimes I had to start to add more pads since she would miss or pee on her blanket, but now she is perfect. She wont poop on the pad though....she has an issue of having her poop near her. She holds it until we walk her or she poops early in the morning and cries for us to come and clean it up.
