I'm sorry, but in this case, I totally disagree with the vet. I have never in my life heard of keeping a dog inside for a YEAR. That's absolutely insane, sorry, lol.
If Parvo is high in your area, then don't bring him to dog parks or Petsmarts' or places like that.. but a dog is a dog and they need to go outside and experience the world and their own species.
