Thank goodness you took her to a vet already. Panting with her mouth closed? Like a huffing? Or does it sound like more of a wheezing/snorting through her nose?
5 1/2 months? Do you think it could be related to her going into heat relatively soon? Its a little early but not unheard of. Vomiting and abdominal would mean there was something wrong with her cycle though.
If it just happened today I wouldn't freak out too much. Just keep an eye on her and please keep us posted on how she's doing.
