I lost my 20 yr old son 7 years ago. I mentally could not handle that if I volunteered in the shelter. Too much death. I'm sure it affects everyone, but for me it is a severe sensitivity. And I just need to be sure.
Sorry this went off topic. I was going to go there Sat. but.......now I'm scared. |
First of all, my sincere condolences. 3 of my closest friends are going through the same thing right now and I just can not imagine that sort of grief.
Second, I
think that if you volunteer, then the sad part is part of the job description but I can't say for sure. I know if I were you, I wouldn't want any part of it but I can see why you'd want to volunteer. It's such a good thing to do. If I weren't allergic to most dogs n cats, I would volunteer also.
Whatever you decide, I hope it brings you joy.
