MinkSheen is a good shampoo & it repells insects. You can try a sample, some people don't like the smell...but I love it. It has a condotioner built in, but I use Tomlyn Nova Pearls Cream Rinse conditioner. I've found it to be the best combo. For the face, I use a tearless puppy shampoo.
What you're doing for the eyes sounds great. I wipe their eye area daily w/a damp wash cloth to clean the eye goop. The tears can be from the hairs poking her eyes...I keep it trimmed, but can be harder to grow out. If you let it grow, it'll settle nicely from the weight. Pet Silk top knot gel can be helpful in taming those hairs...some use vasaline. |
