i am so happy that you reported her!

i am really really glad that you insisted on seeing the puppies and their living conditions. so many people don't do that, and that is how puppy mills continue to operate!
happy to hear that you are volunteering at the animal shelter. maybe you will find your perfect puppy/dog there.
i am sorry to hear that your chloe has cancer.

i hope she lives pain free for a long time!

Since then ive done ALOT of research and im alot more knowledgable about the issue now.
I reported this "breeder" and her dogs have been taken away from her. I dont even want to get into the state the dogs were in. Just goes to show you cant tell a whole lot by a phone conversation. My friend that seen the dogs, well, she only seen the FRONT yard. Where 4 dogs were being kept in the fenced in part. And, well, i was persistent on seeing hwere the pups were being kept, so she brought me out back......... HOLY CRAP. there were SO many more dogs then she originally led on. And she was a mill.. Leaving it at that.
And i also started to volunteer at my local animal shelter! ..I dont have another dog. Chloe has a tumor on her belly. It is cancer. im just waiting it out, waiting for my girl to tell me when the time is right. She is still getting around pretty good. Doesnt eat a whole lot, so i assume we do not have much time left. If she ever shows me a sign that she is unhappy and suffering. Well, that will be the day. Right now we are just making the VERY best of what time we have left. 5 years with this girl (it will be six next month) has went by too fast. |
