Definitely look at the contract. I think that you probably had to have given them notice of removing her. I personally find it silly that they are making such a big deal about the tuition when your child was removed because you couldn't afford the tuition due to a life changing event.
Give the school a call and speak to them. They will probably dismiss it if you inform them of the reason for removing her.
