Right now I only leave 1 pad, she sometimes misses the pad, so once in a while I leave 2 pads. I change them when I get home from work. Sometimes some dogs will not like a dirty pad and will not pee or poop on a dirty pad. So it really depends on your dog.
I purchase the pads from Target for a very reasonable price. I dont recall the name, but I have only been able to find them at Target. They come in a white and blue bag.
