There is a huge difference in the quality of vitamins available and the absorbability of those vitamins is dependent on how they are processed, otherwise they are just being literally peed right out of the body. Many vitamins out there are artificially produced.

Look for a quality, reputable company such as Garden of Life or Nature's Way and you want to read how they are processed. The term "whole food" is indicative that the integrity of the food has been kept during the processing. And fermenting in the processing ensures the body will actually absorb the majority of the vitamins and minerals rather than immediately going to waste. Many of these whole food products have also used only certified organic products.

We use Vitamineral Green (which is a whole food product available at Health Food stores). The girls each get about 1/16 of a tsp daily. This is a powered formula and a bottle last us a very long time. For quality products you almost always have to go to a health food store. Be prepared for a higher price tag as you are actually getting something for your money.

And many studies have also shown that using an organic cold processed coconut oil has far superior health benefits than salmon oil.
