I use to think it was best to keep the room temperature around 80 degrees but since I read that if the momma gets to hot it will reduce her milk production, so now I keep the room temperature around 76. The most important thing is to make sure there pups are not in a draft. I always put a puppy heating pad under one side of the whelping box.

To answer your question, I think anything over 80 degrees would be too hot for the momma. Do you have any type of air-conditioning in your house?
