I'd say go for it

I brought home a shih tzu pup last week. my 15 month old yorkie is adjusting extremely well with our new baby. At first it looked like Suzi was a little depressed and timid around the new baby. however, each day it has become better and better. Suzi is bouncing back to her regular self, and is accepting Miley well.
Just keep in mind the expenses of a new puppy and then the grooming needs . It is a lot of fun to have 2 dogs
