Personally, I think dogs like a little variety in their diet. I would be careful to not overdo it though. When we got Maggie, she was on Royal Canin but stopped eating it shortly after we got her. We have 4 other dogs and she would only eat what they were eating. At the time, we were feeding our adult dogs Chicken Soup. We tried different puppy foods for Maggie, and even switched the adult food to California Natural and still Maggie would only eat the adult dog food. I asked for advice on a good all life stages food and was recommended Nature's Variety Prairie and Innova. We decided to try the Nature's Variety Prairie chicken and brown rice formula and the dogs all love it and Maggie is doing well on it too. We had no issues switching over either. I haven't tried the Innova yet, but plan to try it sometime soon for a little variety. Some of your pet food stores carry sample packages of some of their foods that you can get to try out. I would check it out. It's worth a try.
