I've seen this happen with Uni before too. All the hair comes out, but you can see the little poo bits connected together by hair. You do need to be careful if there is still hair inside though. I would just cut it off rather than pull it out, you could do some damage to to intestines. Also be very careful that they don't get into the trash where they could swallow dental floss. That's even worse!
