Spaying or neutering younger helps a great deal with either combination. My breeding males get along with any female, but never let 2 intact males together at any time. My breeding females would tear each other up during a heat cycle, even mother-daughter so we watch them very closely. It also depends on the lines. My TNT lines are pretty alpha personalities, where my Trouble, Kodak lines are really laid back and get along better with even the same sex.
