You want to make sure your little one has preventitive for fleas. They can cause some pretty nasty things. Definately talk to your vet like the above poster suggests and I know people here have opinions on which products work best for them. Since most of the those go by weight that's where your vet can point you in the right direction. I haven't seen any fleas on my Roxie yet but I know it's coming so she's getting a bath and flea stuff put on her this week. I used to use Advantyx but it wasn't lasting the whole month like it's supposed to. I found out that you have to wait about 13 days before bathing because even though they claim it's water proof it's not. Advantage works much better for us. It lasts a whole month. I just bathe her first then apply it and try not to bathe too often (very hard in the summer). There are good products and it just depends on what works best for you.
