I really try to avoid mixing in extra things into dog food in order to get any dog to eat, since it can easily become an expected thing and create even more of a problem.
I really recommend you just hold out. When you're dog is hungry, it will eat. If you're been feeding people food, your dog is going to want to hold out - he or she most likely realizes that if he/she does they will get it (at least in some minute form. Can you blame them? I think I would too...)
If you "stand your ground" so to speak and feed only the kibble, your dog will eventually eat it. It may take a day (or maybe two depending on the habits) but he or she will eat when its clear that is all that will be made available. |
