Mine doesn't.
If a puppy is sold as a show potential, and the new owner doesn't show it, should they not be allowed to use it for breeding? How would you enforce it?
If your pedigrees have champions, and one of your sold puppies grows up and has an oops breeding--say Maltese and Yorkie, should you as the first breeder or sire's breeder for example, tell the buyer not to mention your championships in the selling of the oops puppies who will not be registered?
Where do you go with something like this situation??
Do you advertise for your unborn litters (like on puppyfind) before your litters are whelped??
Even if I don't have puppies available, I never tell a potential new family that I don't. I screen them anyway and then refer them to breeders that I'm fully aware of their breeding practices. I don't ever want it to come back and bite me.
I have been referring new buyers, unscreened, to others and to the forums for them to continue their search for puppies, if they don't want to wait for another litter. |
Yes, I have a 2 generation contract. My contract states all puppies from that sire/bitch, unless kept by the owner of said sire/bitch must be sold on a spay/nueter.
Nope, My show contracts stipulate the dog/bitch must be showed through Championship. It states the that the dog can not be used for breeding until is Championed. How do I inforce it. I don't place a dog for show unless I know and trust the person. And, I've only placed 1 show potential and it is being shown by me.
My contract states if there is a breeding with an unapproved bitch/stud I will confiscate the dog/bitch and the litter. My dogs/bitches placed in a show home must only be bred to an AKC approved mate.
Never, I have a waiting list. My pups have homes prior to a breeding taking place.
Do you refer to other breeders when you don't have available puppies? Or do you just say sorry and let them figure out their own way.

My contract was written with the help of a laywer, so if there is an infraction on it, it will hold up in a court of law.
