Okay I have been thinking on these questions for awhile and would like to have a serious discussion on these questions. If any one feels uncomfortable on answering on a forum, please feel free to email me at dee@houseofwags.
Does your contract require a buyer of your puppies to have you approve any subsequent puppies bought for future breedings?
no mine doesn't.
Mine doesn't.
If a puppy is sold as a show potential, and the new owner doesn't show it, should they not be allowed to use it for breeding? How would you enforce it?
i don't sell show potentials yet
If your pedigrees have champions, and one of your sold puppies grows up and has an oops breeding--say Maltese and Yorkie, should you as the first breeder or sire's breeder for example, tell the buyer not to mention your championships in the selling of the oops puppies who will not be registered?
fortunately I have never had this happen but if it did, the puppies would be sold with no papers and no explanation. The buyer would probably never see my pedigrees in a case lie this and I do have some nice ones.
Also very cheap amount for the puppies.
Where do you go with something like this situation??
Do you advertise for your unborn litters (like on puppyfind) before your litters are whelped??
no and I don't agree with those that do but I do sell on PuppyFind. Or I should say, I advertise on PuppyFind. The only dog I ever sold from there was an adult.
Do you refer to other breeders when you don't have available puppies? Or do you just say sorry and let them figure out their own way.
I always refer and hope they would return the favor
I have been referring new buyers, unscreened, to others and to the forums for them to continue their search for puppies, if they don't want to wait for another litter.
