HSUS is simply a vast political machine. They do not truly give two hoots in hell for animals. Read up on the La District Attorney trying to make them account for monies donated for animal rescue after Katrina. The executives at HSUS make enormous salaries and the rest goes for lobbying efforts for their anti breeding bills.
You need to do your homework and realize who the enemy really is and what is actually being done with your donations. If they have their way, pretty soon only the commercial breeders will be left. no more show dogs or Champion sired pets, home born and raised puppies and the next agenda after that is no pets at all. Where are your grandchildren going to get a dog from after we are legislated out of existence. Instead of policing the list looking for some drama to jump on, turn your considerable energy to fighting these onerous laws. FYI, I started out in rescue before I ever got my first show dog and still participate in rescue to this day. My energy, my heart, and my money is in my dogs. If I sound angry, then by now I am. As someone else said quite eloquently, if you do not like what you find at one breeder, move on. If I were to make judgements based on some of the posts on this thread, believe me, I would have quite a lot to say.
