I think most of the breeder posts have been pretty polite. It does wear thin after a while though. I certainly applaud you wanting to get a well bred pet. If you do not have access to shows, you might want to look into attending and maybe joining your local kennel club, toy dog club or yorkie club. The local clubs do not require that you show, you can be a supporter. You may also find that you meet people that you really enjoy and perhaps try obedience or rally which is open to spayed/neutered dogs. Lots of people that have no interest in showing in conformation do agility as well. Once you attend meetings, you will meet people in the breed and form some relationships that may serve you well in selecting your ideal breeder. Best of luck.
